San Camilo T-Shirts
San Camilo is a coffee company based in Cali, Colombia, and a long-standing client since 2019. We have collaborated on several projects incluiding branding, packaging, visual communication, and illustration. This time, we developed their first merchandising capsule, inspired by Colombian pride and the coffee culture lifestyle. The collection features three distinct illustrations, each with its own narrative, defining the essence of Colombian coffee:
Revolución Cafetera (Coffee Revolution). Inspired by the mountains of Cauca, one of the finest coffee-growing regions in the country and the origin of San Camilo’s beans. This piece captures the farm's biodiversity: a bull that actually lives on the land, accompanied by a heron that co-exist with a vintage roasting machine used for the coffee process. All of this is set within the lush tropical rainforest of the Colombian highlands.
Legado Colombiano Cafetero (Colombian Coffee Legacy). This piece represents daily life at the "finca." It features traditional elements of Colombian rural culture: a Virgin Mary statue blessing the home, a swing where the children of the farmers play, and a deer which is a frequent visitor to the land itself. At the center is a traditional colonial house, the universal symbol of where the best coffee is served in Colombia.
Colombian Hard Workers. This final piece honors the strength of those behind the harvest. Since 100% of coffee harvesting in Colombia is done by hand, farmers are the backbone of the industry. This illustration celebrates these proud workers who care for the mountain's animals while harvesting fruit across diverse climates and challenging terrains.
